Connectify has lured many geeks around the globe through it’s WiFi Sharing functionality. It officially supports only Windows 7, Many Windows XP Lurkers have been haunting for a Connectify XP version.
How to Get Connectify in Windows XP
Connectify standard package works with Windows XP indeed, but with it’s own setback of able to run only Ad-Hoc mode in the Connectify XP Version
Windows XP doesn’t support Access point connectivity which makes it impossible for Connectify XP version to work through Access Points.

Connectify XP is available for download in two packages Lite and Pro. The Free version of Connectify XP is highly recommended.
The disability of Access Point usage renders the primary function of Connectify useless. WiFi networks can be setup without the software with ease. Connectify provides an User Friendly interface which renders the setup much easier

What is Ad-Hoc Mode
Connectify Access Mode can set up a WiFi Hot spot via the same Internet, 3G Connection currently being used by the host device.
Ad-Hoc Mode is extremely slow about 500% times slower than the conventional Access Point Mode. Ad-Hoc is not compatible with various platforms like Android, Kindle, e.t.c
All the above setbacks render the Connectify XP version worthless because Wireless Networks can be created through default software provided with the XP OS.
