Convert Torrents Into Online Streams, Rapidshare Downloader

Introduction to Put.io

Put.io is a cloud based service which can download stuff for you from the internet so you can use it later. Whether its a torrent or FTP or rapidshare file, all you have to do is just put the link to that file on put.io and it will do the rest for you. Put.io can even automatically keep up with downloads and pull links from an RSS feed. This saves you disk space and the time for downloading to your desktop and then deleting the file after watching a movie or installing a software. Also downloading speed with put.io is magnificent.

How it works

This is the dashboard of put.io when you first login. After a successful sign up put.io will put you straight into business.

In the above image you can see at the bottom the file that i have downloaded using torrents. You can add new files by clicking on the add new files button. Enable subscriptions by clicking subscriptions and enter the Feed URL or your can see the active transfers or the ones already completed using the transfers tab. 

Another good thing is sharing. If you have downloaded something from a torrent or a website, you can share that with your friend using the sharing tab. This works as if your friend has already downloaded the file and he needs not download it. Just watch it through your sharing feature as if its an established network between you two.

To start a transfer, click on the transfers tab and then click Add new files. After that copy the link to the file you want to downlaod. This can be a torrent file download link as you see i have put the link to the torrent of ‘The dark knight rises’ movie. Click Next and your movie will start downloading so you can watch it online.

Any legal issues?

With such services, issues of legality are always there. Besides movies, there is a lot of other stuff that you can download using put.io. Since it is not legal to download pirated movies or software using the service, put.io has addressed this problem in the issue of legality on their website.
