Ever Fantasized installing Mac OS on your PC. It is possible with few simple tweaks.
Requirements to Install Mac on PC
- Make sure your PC is powered up by considerably good hardware specifications.
- You will need a ISO maker like Alcohol 120% or DaemonTools
- A genuine Mac Installation Disk or MAC Installation Data stored on your PC. Mac ISOs can be obtained offshore for free, but that is unethical and violates the laws, so i wouldn’t suggest to go by it
Steps to Install Mac on PC
- Download and Install VirtualBox on your Windows PC. Run VirtualBox, Click the ‘New‘ icon from the menu bar and Click Next
- In the new window. It prompts for the Operating system you want to emulate. Choose Mac and click ‘Next’
- In the next window, you will need to allot amount of Virtual Memory (RAM) for the emulation process. 1GB is more than enough
- Next, comes the tricky part. You will need to set the memory of your Virtual Hard Drive. ChooseDynamic Type and 25 Gigabytes would be optimum setting for the disk space
- Select Finish. An overview of the settings will be displayed. Deselect Enable EFI option
- Select the Storage option and click ‘Empty’ below the OSX.vdi. Select the add button on the top and browse the Mac OS ISO you’ve downloaded previously and hit OK
- Hit the Start Button on the left side of the main window. Press F8 and type -v to open the console window. A language selection window pops out. Click Continue. Open Disk Utility
- Choose the 20 GB VBOX HardDrive. Click Erase and enter your desired name in the name field and exit the window
- Click the Customize button on the left and choose the the options i’ve specified below as it is, it is very crucial
AMD Users:
- Any Updates included at the top.
- Drop down Kernels and choose Legacy kernel.
- AMD option below System support.
Intel Users:
- Any Updates included at the top.
- Drop down bootloaders and check the newest Chameleon.
- Drop down Kernels and choose Legacy kernel.
- Click install and after the installation process completes, Press Ctrl key and in devices tab, Select Unmounted devices and then choose Device-Reset
