How to create Wifi hotspot on Iphone


Personal Wifi Hotspot feature is currently available only for Iphone 4.  AT&T Iphone 4 users can create a Personal Wifi Hotspot on their Iphone handsets.  Literally you can turn your Iphone into a portable 3G router.  It is yet another feature introduced by Apple and AT&T to cash from it.

To enable this feature, users are levied an extra charge of 20$ per month which also includes 2 GB of usage data.
 How to create Wifi hotspot on Iphone legally
1. Contact AT&T or any other CDMA provider which has this feature enabled and get the Personal Hotspot Option authorized.
2. In your Iphone Handset browse to ‘General Settings’ , In ‘Network’ tab slide the Personal Hotspot option to ‘ON’


You can also set a password for the  network. To access this WiFi network in other devices, just select this network from available network list.
How to create Wifi hotspot on Iphone without monthly fee
Iphone 4′ s Personal Wifi hotspot feature announcement has left many of it’s users infuriated because of the jaw-dropping monthly charge.  You can do this for free on jailbroken phones. There are millions of tutorials on Jailbreaking your Iphone.
1. Download and Install Cydia app from the App store
2. In Cydia options page, You need to download MyWi addon which available for  a one time fee.
3. Slide the ‘Wifi Tethering’ option in MyWi options page to ‘On’



That’s it, you have turned your Iphone handset into a Portable WiFi Hotspot
